NEW AFRICA HOTELS

Kitirua Plains Lodge, an A&K Sanctuary, Kenya
Kitirua Plains Lodge, a luxury lodge from the exclusive A&K Sanctuary collection by Abercrombie & Kent, is located immediately adjacent to the main entrance to Amboseli National Park, renowned for its one of the largest elephant populations in East Africa. Where Kitirua Plains Lodge now stands, Geoffrey Kent pioneered luxury safari travel 60 years ago. His first lodge featured a leading Nairobi chef, electricity, refrigeration, and… champagne! The new lodge was built in collaboration with Luxury Frontiers, renowned for its sustainable design and construction. Guests of its 13 tents enjoy unobstructed views of elephants and other wildlife from private terraces, lounges, and bathtubs, as well as views of Mount Kilimanjaro. In addition to safaris and visits to the Maasai Mara, guests can enjoy evenings under the stars by the fire and hot air balloon rides.
