Day 2
Breakfast at the hotel.
Drive to Mtskheta (15 km, 30 min.). Jvari Monastery. Svetitskhoveli Cathedral.
Visit to the Guramishvili Marani wine cellar with tasting (15 km from Mtskheta).
Next, a demonstration of how to bake shoti, the Georgian national sweet, churchkhela, and, of course, khinkali.
Lunch at the Guramishvili Marani restaurant (Georgian national cuisine).
Return to Tbilisi
Optional visit to the sulfur baths.
Rest. Dinner at a restaurant in the city.
Day 3
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to Borjomi (163 km). En route, stop at the Igoeti archaeological site.
Lunch at the Nacharmagevi tavern (Georgian national cuisine).
Transfer to Uplistsikhe (14 km). Tour of the cave city.
Continuation to Borjomi.
Hotel check-in. Free time.
Dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 4
Breakfast at the hotel.
Stroll through Borjomi Park.
Drive to Akhaltsikhe (50 km).
Visit to the Rabati Fortress.
Lunch at the Rabati Fortress restaurant. Transfer to the cave city of Vardzia (63 km)
Return to Borjomi (108 km)
Dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 5
Breakfast at the hotel
Transfer to Tbilisi (163 km)
Lunch at a local restaurant.
Accommodation at the hotel. Free time.
Dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 6
Breakfast at the hotel.
Travel to the Alazani Valley (96 km, 1.5 hours).
Visit to Ikalto Monastery (6th century).
Transfer to Alaverdi Monastery.
Lunch at the Wine Museum (near Alaverdi). Before lunch, a short tour of the museum and wine tasting.
Transfer to Gremi Fortress.
Optional evening hot air balloon flight over the Alazani Valley. (The flight is weather-dependent; in case of adverse weather conditions, it will be rescheduled for 6:00 a.m. the following morning).
Return to Tbilisi.
Dinner at a city restaurant accompanied by Georgian songs and polyphonic singing.
Day 7
Breakfast at the hotel.
Depending on your departure time, souvenir shopping at the Dry Bridge antique market.
(Souvenirs for every taste, as well as antiques: ancient weapons, military awards, jewelry, carpets, and tableware.)
Transfer to Tbilisi airport. Flight home.
