Hotel description
The name of the hotel complex Amankora is composed of two languages - Sanskrit and Bhutanese. In Sanskrit, the word "Aman" means "peace", from Bhutanese "kora" is translated as "wandering pilgrim". The hotel complex "World of Wandering Pilgrims" consists of 5 small cozy boutique hotels. Each hotel has from 8 to 29 rooms and is located in a gorge lost in the shadow of the Himalayan Mountains.
The opening of the Amankora Paro hotel took place in 2004. This is the first foreign hotel of the Aman chain, so the owners of the chain approached the choice of location, design and concept of the hotel quite carefully and consciously. Amankora Paro is located in the Paro Valley at an altitude of 2250 m above sea level.
The hotel has only 24 rooms. All of them are spacious, made in an ascetic Buddhist style from natural materials. Minimalism, ecology and at the same time concern for the maximum comfort of the guest - this ideology of the Aman chain is reflected in the design of the rooms of this cozy mountain hotel. The walls of the rooms are covered with panels of natural wood in calm light shades, and huge, floor-to-ceiling windows offer views of the Jomolhari mountain range. Each room in the hotel is equipped with a jacuzzi. The jacuzzi is located on the veranda surrounded by glass walls. This is an amazing experience when you can soak in a warm bath, enjoying the view of the eternal Himalayas. Each room also has a bukhari, a traditional Bhutanese wood-burning stove. All this, and in addition the special aura of the Himalayas will bring peace, harmony and relaxation to your holiday in Bhutan.
