Hotel description
General
The Vranguel National Park, St. Elias (Wrangell- St Elias), the largest fleet of 53.321 km of SSA, is located in the State of Alaska. The uniqueness of the park is that most of it is a vivid wildlife, which is why Vranguel-St Elias is protected by UNESCO.
The park is covered by mountains, the highest mountain, the mountain of Saint Elias, has a height of 5.489 metres, 25 per cent of the area covered by glaciers, forests and rivers. The Copper River Valley became the habitat of the first people who lived around 9,000 years ago.
Hubbard's boat, Hubbard Glacier, is Alaska's biggest glacier in Canada. From Yukon State (Canada) to sea, the ice cream extends to 122 km and has a width of 10 km. Hubbard is 400 years old. Over the years, it has been growing and moving: in 1986, it blocked Ford Russell and formed Lake Russell. In summer, ice melts, causing floods. In a place where the glacier reaches the shore, most ice is underwater, endangering ships passing. The height of the icebergs reaches the 10th floor building. There's a lot of big wild animals in the park. You can meet the bears of grizzly, black bears, salmons, reindeer and even bisons. The tourists should be careful. It's recommended to look at the park with Rangers. You can catch trout and salmon in the rivers. The sea lion population lives on the coast.
In Vangel Park, St. Elios doesn't have much road to travel in the car. Out of entertainment, it is proposed to take guided tours on fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, river alloys, rock climbing, haiking and bicycle walks, sea trips, hunting and fishing (licens required). There's a lottery on the park. Schedule of work
Park is open for a year, 24 hours a day, from mid-September to June, most roads are closed, and rest is limited.
Climate
Despite proximity to the ocean, high mountains and coastal glaciers make the climate in the park quite severe and clear changes in times of the year do not guarantee sustainable weather.
The winter average temperature in the park is 20 C, the snow falls, the day is very short. When spring strikes, the temperature rises, the sun rises more.
In summer, Alaska has a large number of insects,
The fall begins in mid-August. It's a very beautiful time of the year when the forests are painted in bright yellow and red colours. In September, rains began, especially on the coast.
