Dragon School A prestigious Spanish school with a rich history, located in the streets of Oxford. The school, which was founded in 1877, produced not one generation of successful people, who subsequently became famous writers, politicians, scholars, actors and journalists. To date, Dragon School is the most famous preparatory school in England.
The main advantage of the school, which distinguishes it from most others, is the informal environment and the sizeable academic environment in which children are not under pressure and where they can develop in their individual pace. Dragon School is a very modern school with strong academic traditions. There is a minimization of the rules, which has led schoolchildren to learn from early years of self-reliance and responsibility for their actions.
From the first grades, academic subjects are offered at different levels, depending on the characteristics and interests of children. The curriculum aims to develop individual thinking and creativity, as well as to prepare schoolchildren to live in the 21st century. This includes intellectual, physical and spiritual development, a full range of knowledge, skills and abilities to address the diverse challenges of adulthood.
In addition to academic training, students participate in extracurricular learning activities, sports and creativity (music, drama, art). Visits and guided tours are frequent in the cultural places of England and abroad.
Children usually leave Dragon at the age of 13 when they go to secondary school. Dragon School students tend to continue to attend the prestigious schools of Great Britain and continental Europe.

Some 250 pupils aged 8-13 are in full boarding school, including 10-15 foreign children. Schools are housed in cozy houses of 18-20 persons according to their age group. However, boys and girls live separately. School staff are trying to create a domestic environment for children. Particular attention is paid to young schoolchildren and to those who are first away from home. Schoolchildren can be contacted by telephone, e-mail and traditional mail.
