The Streat Helsinki street food festival, one of the world ' s best cooking events, is returning to the streets of the Finnish capital from 17 to 20 March 2016. In this year's menu, secrets of street kitchens, gastronomical novels, unique concepts and, of course, local specialities. To try the diversity of the street kitchen can be found in Tori's historic quarter on Saturday, 19 March.

StreatHelsinki 2016: from revolution to evolution and sustainable development
The purpose of the Streat Helsinki 2016 festival is to raise the culture of street food to a new level: environmental and sustainable development, the opening of new aromatics, the creation and introduction of new cooking methods are all on the agenda. Four festival days include three major events, as well as several " garners " .
The Gastronomical Feery begins on Thursday and Friday, 17-18 March, with master class. StreatHelsinkiMASTERS. These events, under the leadership of Finnish and international chefs, allow us to look at street food at a different angle. The main theme of the evenings will be the choice of ingredients and cooking methods, and in the end, the guests are waiting for a joint production of dishes and trapes. MASTERS evenings are held at Mothership Covorking Centre of Work.

On Sunday, 20 March, the festival returns to the source of street food, i.e. open-air food and open-fire food. StreatHelsinkiGRILLS will be placed on certain urban areas suitable for picnic and barbecue, and experienced cooks and sellers will offer guests better dishes on the grill. Objective of the event: The general fun in the fresh air, as well as the exchange of experience for the further development of the litefud.

The Streat Helsinki EATS 2016 provides for fewer accredited street food vendors than in previous years. Key selection criteria include innovation, unique concepts or innovative methods of preparation. In addition, each participant must include test pieces in the menu. The use of biodegradable dishes, as well as other progressive environmental decisions, is mandatory for all street kitchens.
