Ultima Collection: Winter in Courchevel, Megève, Crans-Montana and Gstaad
A winter full of magic in the most coveted Alpine destinations of France and Switzerland.
Ultima Hotel Courchevel
Home to a constellation of Michelin-starred restaurants and luxury boutiques, with direct access to the world’s largest ski area, Courchevel is one of the most prestigious ski resorts in the world. Set discreetly on the manicured pistes of this jewel in the crown of the Three Valleys, Ultima Hotel Courchevel places guests at its heart. Since 2021, this boutique hotel has been at the forefront of luxury ski-in/ski-out living in the French Alps. It comprises 13 private chalets, from intimate two-bedroom retreats to expansive five-bedroom residences, each fireplace-warmed haven embodying Ultima Collection’s principles of elegant design, intuitive hospitality and exceptional privacy.
In the seclusion of their mountain-view chalets, guests savour global flavours crafted by the world’s leading chefs; this winter a bespoke in-chalet dining menu, inspired by diverse culinary cultures, is prepared in your own chalet. Two spas overlooking the Alps reward ski-weary muscles with invigorating massages, restorative treatments and personalised wellness programmes by Augustinus Bader and Seed to Skin Tuscany, complemented by a steam room, Finnish sauna, indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis and a 15-metre pool.
Celebrated for its discreet, intuitive service, Ultima Hotel Courchevel was ranked the No. 8 hotel in France in the 2025 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards. Supported by a full-service ski shop, the team curates experiences far beyond skiing: private ski tours and skydiving, family snowshoeing, helicopter flights and even diving beneath the ice of the lake at Le Praz.
Ultima Megève
Honouring its Haute-Savoie setting with aged timber, rough-hewn stone and hand-hammered bronze, Ultima Megève is one of the chicest chalets in the French Alps. Designed for multigenerational families and groups of friends, it offers seven spacious, exceptionally designed bedrooms, a sprawling master suite with sweeping mountain views, a children’s sleepover suite, fire-warmed living rooms, a wine cellar, a private nightclub and an arcade room.
The views follow you everywhere. The state-of-the-art spa has a hammam, hair salon, outdoor Jacuzzi and a rustic-chic indoor pool with glass doors opening onto Alpine meadows and Mont Blanc, with treatments created with Augustinus Bader and Seed to Skin Tuscany and a vaulted private gym. The concierge can arrange anything from a family snowshoe outing to a torchlit ski descent, and private chefs from the world’s finest kitchens tailor menus to each guest’s tastes.
A discreet mountain retreat on a sun-drenched Swiss plateau, Ultima Crans-Montana combines a 10-bedroom chalet with an adjoining six-bedroom chalet, accommodating groups of up to 38. The larger spans four floors, with eight master suites, two children’s sleepover suites, an arcade room, cigar room, office and lift; the guest chalet has six suites, its own kitchen, library and dining room.
The epitome of Swiss Alpine charm in winter snow or summer green, it offers exquisite dining tailored to each guest by a Michelin-trained private chef, a private cinema and a 1,000 sq m spa with a sauna, hammam, three treatment rooms, a snow shower and direct access to a large heated outdoor pool, with treatments created with Augustinus Bader and Seed to Skin Tuscany. Since 2018, Ultima Crans-Montana has offered access to everything from mountain adventures and hot-air ballooning to legendary golf courses, jazz festivals and prestigious wineries, with a concierge crafting bespoke experiences all year round.
Ultima Promenade Gstaad
An expansive eight-bedroom mountain retreat for groups of up to 20. Originally built by Prince Karim Aga Khan IV to house friends and family visiting Gstaad, the completely reimagined chalet spans four floors, one entirely dedicated to wellbeing and fun, with a private cinema, arcade room and nightclub. Two living rooms open onto a wraparound terrace, and a state-of-the-art kitchen leads to a striking double-height dining room where a Michelin-trained private chef serves feasts tailored to every guest.
The spa has an indoor pool, sauna, hammam, Jacuzzi and an invigorating snow shower for hot-cold therapy, with massages and facials by Augustinus Bader and Seed to Skin Tuscany, plus a gym. The mountains around Gstaad are not just a backdrop but a year-round playground. Right on the Promenade, the chalet connects guests to the heart of the resort, and the in-house team arranges hiking, water sports, heliskiing and even VIP tickets to the Hublot Polo Gold Cup.
