Holidays in France in miniature
France in Miniature
A unique opportunity to see France as you've never seen it before. Thanks to the talent and dedication of architects and landscape painters, you'll be treated to an unforgettable experience: palaces and castles, the most famous architectural monuments, as well as rivers, mountains, seas, and even entire cities—all as if they were real, only scaled down several dozen times.
The park features about 150 models of various French landmarks at a scale of 1:30, including rivers, seas, mountains—the Alps, the Pyrenees, French villages, a railway with moving trains, boats, bridges, and, of course, cathedrals, castles, monuments—all the more or less important landmarks of France.
They are all located more or less geographically, i.e., If you look at this park from above, you see a map of France, with rivers and seas, and, say, the Alps are located where they actually are, the castles of the cities where the cities should be, and so on.
Of course, there are more Parisian landmarks there, so the proportions aren't quite right, but they're all concentrated roughly where Paris is—the Eiffel Tower, Sacré-Coeur, Notre Dame, Versailles with its fountains, and Les Invalides.
Around almost every exhibit, there are background sounds—church singing from the cathedrals, dogs barking and cows mooing from the villages.
