Paris sightseeing tour with a Russian-speaking guide (4 hours)

This tour will help you get the most complete information about Paris and get acquainted with its main attractions. You will see the Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe crowning them, the Place de la Concorde and the Madeleine Church, the Grand Opera and the House of Invalids, where Napoleon's ashes were transferred, the Rodin Museum and Notre Dame Cathedral, the Trocadero Square, from where a wonderful view of the Eiffel Tower opens up, and the Champ de Mars.

The walk will also pass by the Place des Vosges, the Sorbonne University, the Latin Quarter and the Pantheon - the final resting place of great people of France. You will see the Senate building in the Luxembourg Gardens, the Louvre, the elegant Saint-Germain quarter and the Place Vendôme, famous for its jewellery shops. The logical conclusion of the excursion will be the modern La Défense district with the famous Grande Arche, into which, as if in a frame, two Triumphal Arches fit - the arch of the Carrousel courtyard in front of the Louvre and the Triumphal Arch on the Place de l'Etoile.

You will stop at the Trocadero and the Fragonard Museum.

Paris "is not a city, it is a whole world," said Charles V. True, he called Paris by its former name - Lutetia, which in Greek means "white". The excursion will introduce you to the history of this eternally young two-thousand-year-old city and will allow you to appreciate its diversity and harmony.

Optional excursion to the castles of the Loire Valley (Chambord, Chenonceau, Amboise) (12 hours) - not included in the tour price

Thanks to this trip, you will be able to plunge into the brilliant world of the French Renaissance and get acquainted with three masterpieces of architecture of this era - the castles of Chambord, Chenonceau and Amboise. In total, more than 1,000 ancient castles and noble residences have been preserved in the Loire Valley. Residents of this area are sure that the Loire Valley is the center of France, and therefore the heart of history... Not all French people agree with this, but they confirm that the castles of the Loire are the wedding dress of France...

The castle of Amboise has a rich past. Under Charles VIII, the castle was rebuilt in accordance with Italian canons. But the castle reached its true glory during the reign of Francis I. At the invitation of the knight king, as the French called Francis I, Leonardo da Vinci came to Amboise and lived next to the castle until his death. The castle is also famous for the fact that the remains of Leonardo da Vinci are still buried in the chapel on its territory.

The Chambord Castle amazes with its grandeur and size. It has 440 rooms and 74 staircases. The roofs of the Chambord Castle are compared to fairy-tale palaces. It was built for King Francis I and still amazes not only with its size - 440 rooms and 365 fireplaces, but also with the innovation of its architecture. It is no coincidence that it is considered a masterpiece of engineering and it is believed that the first project was developed by Leonardo da Vinci himself. Currently, the forests around the castle - 5,440 hectares - are a hunting reserve of the President of France. Here, in the presence of the queen's retinue, the first performance of Moliere's comedy "The Bourgeois Gentleman" took place. The heart of the castle is the famous double spiral staircase.

The Chenonceau Castle is one of the most beautiful architectural ensembles of Renaissance France. Chenonceau is unique in the richness of its interiors and gardens, as well as in the fact that it is located literally on the water. It is also known as the Ladies' Castle, since the fates of amazing women are inextricably linked with it - Catherine de Medici, Diane de Poitiers, Louise of Lorraine, Georges Sand... Walking along a spacious plane tree alley lined with centuries-old trees, visitors find themselves in front of an elegant castle stunning in its sophistication and magnificence.

The excursion includes wine tasting at winemakers in the region.

Grape varieties such as Gamay, Cabernet, Co, Sauvignon and Chardonnay are grown here, from which white, pink and red, as well as sparkling wines are produced.
