Program

During the cozy season, when the snow-covered chalet roofs cast their spell, The Chedi Andermatt invites you to a dreamful winter vacation in the mountains of Switzerland. Enjoy the impressive region around our luxury winter resort, well-known for its numerous winter sports facilities. Andermatt is the biggest ski area in Central Switzerland and the ideal starting point for snowshoe hikes or sleigh rides in Winter Wonderland.

Skiing. Skiing in the Alps is an absolute must for every winter sports fan. From The Chedi Andermatt, around 180 kilometres of slopes, e.g. on the Gemsstock and Nätschen, in Sedrun and Disentis as well as on Oberalp, are within easy reach. The SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun-Disentis is considered an Eldorado for freeride professionals, but families and beginners also get their enjoyment on the easier slopes. The ski butlers at The Chedi Andermatt take care of our guests, give tips on the ski area, hire equipment from HEAD and drive them to the Nätschen and Gemsstock valley stations and back again.

Cross-Country Skiing. In addition to great downhill slopes, the Andermatt-Sedrun-Disentis ski area also offers excellent opportunities for cross-country skiing. A total of 28 kilometres of cross-country trails are available in the Urseren valley. Suitable for both classic cross-country skiing and skate skiing, you can give your ski trip to Switzerland a different look and feel on the trails. In Realp, a 10-minute drive away, a special night-time trail even allows you to go cross-country skiing, under the floodlights, by night.

Snowshoe Trekking. In case you prefer to explore at a more leisurely pace during your winter holiday in Switzerland, Andermatt is an ideal starting point for snowshoe hikes. There are plenty of trekking trails in the area - perfect for strolling around on sunny days and soaking up the fresh, cool mountain air.

Freeriding. Did you know that the SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun-Disentis is considered Switzerland's freeride Eldorado? This means that here skiing aces can also go off-piste and make the most out of the natural landscape. Freeride professionals get their money's worth here, but also beginners can improve their technique off-piste. A ski instructor from the Swiss Snowsports School Andermatt takes you on an adventure and shows you the most beautiful off-piste runs in the ski area.

Ice skating & curling. In the winter months, you can enjoy ice skating or curling and hockey in Andermatt. A sporty alternative, especially when the skiing weather is mixed.
