Everything in India is created through love. Love for science and truth allows us to see the Jantar Mantar observatory in Jaipur today. Thanks to bhakti, love for God, people built the temples of Vrindavan, the Lotus Temple and Akshardham in Delhi. One of the rulers realized his love for his wives in the magnificent palace of Hawa Mahal - where the women of the harem lived. A textbook example of love, thanks to which we can admire the Taj Mahal mausoleum. And in our case, love for travel is to blame - this is where love for India usually begins.

Now it is the capital of the state of Rajasthan, home to a group of warrior clans (Rajputs) who controlled this part of India for over 1000 years. The project of the young Bengali architect Vidhyadhar Bhattacharya was designed in accordance with the canons of ancient Indian architecture, which include the rectangular arrangement of quarters. The whole of Jaipur, surrounded by a wall protecting the city from enemy troops and wild animals, is divided into nine rectangular sectors (the only one at that time). It was an ordinary brick fortress. 400 years later, the first ruler of the Delhi Sultanate, Sikandar Lodi, moved to Agra and ruled it from this fortress.
