Bath is one of the most beautiful and famous cities in England. It's located 160 kilometres west of London (one and a half hours on a train from Paddington Station). Bath's classic history has not counted for a thousand years. According to the legends, this town was founded by the Keltic King Bladud, who was cured with Bata's whole sources of leprosy. The Romans who came here in the first century of our age also praised the healing properties of thermal waters and built the thermas that remained until our time. I wonder if Bata is the only Roman town in England that built not as a fortress, but as a rest center. There was an ancient Celtic Temple of the River Bogina Sulis (Sulis-Minewa in the Roman interpretation) near the thermal sources, which, according to Romans, gave the water a special purpose, so the original city was called Aqua Sulis.

In the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, Bata becomes a loving space of aristocracy recreation, which is when John Wood Senior begins to build the first georgean style model. At the same time, his son, John Wood Jr., builds a famous Royal Crest complex, considered to be one of the symbols of the city.

But by the end of the nineteenth century, the sea swimming was considered to be more useful and fashionable, which led to a fall in the popularity of Bata from the English. Since 1978, bathing in the thermal waters of Bata has been banned, but finally, after the 28th summer break, the city has resumed: on 7 August 2006, a new modern Spa-centre (Thermae Bath Spa) was opened with several basins (one of which is on the roof, where the fabulous view of the city opens) with modern saunas and hydrom. The tourists now have the opportunity to feel the whole effect of the famous waters of Bata, the only source in Great Britain of thermal waters.
