Bremen and the adjoining Bremerhafen are the smallest federal land in Germany, and this independence of the city is an ancient tradition which is the roots of the Ganza trade union.

Founded 1200 years ago and becoming a centre for the spread of Christianity in northern Europe, the Middle Ages of Bremen became the largest port and main city of the Union of Ghana. The Bremen ships have shrouded the seas by laying new trade routes, glory and profits to Ghanaian buyers. Bremen later became an imperial free city or, in the language of today ' s reality, a special economic zone.

Today, Bremen is the tenth largest city in Germany and the second largest international trade in the German port. Every third working resident of Bremen and Bremerhafen is somehow linked to the port activity.

The Ratusch Square runs through narrow old slopes of the Shnoor area.
