Holidays in Mombasa and the coast
Mombasa is one of the largest Kenyan resorts and recreation centres on the Indian Ocean coast. Snow Beaches are 70 km long. The coral reef, located at a kilometre in the ocean, protects most of the coastline, making it safe to swim, divine and snorkeling. Visitors may choose between a variety of architectures of five-star hotels and hunting cabins, which are organically part of the coastal landscape. The most popular beach entertainment is diving, Windserfing, parasailing and fishing. There is a Shimba Hills National Reserve near Mombasa, the only place in Kenya where there is a rare type of anti-telope Roan. Part of the coast has been declared an environmental territory, the National Maritime Reserve. In the evenings of Mombasa, the doors of many casinos and nightclubs open.
The former capital of Kenya, Mombasa, is one of the oldest cities in Africa and one of the richest ports of the Great Geographical Openings. On the island and connected to the main dams, it has still preserved the image of the medieval city, where European, Arab, Persian and African traditions have been frustrated. These are interesting houses of the Old City in Arabic style, the Portuguese fort-Iisus (XVI), the summer residence of the President of Kenya and the Oasis of Mzima Springs.
