Our advantages

A charming city dominated by classical 18th-century architecture, Aix-en-Provence is the historic capital of Provence, founded by the Romans.

The city has preserved its rich historical and cultural heritage: picturesque ancient streets and squares, aristocratic mansions with elegant façades, numerous palaces of the Provençal nobility from the 17th and 18th centuries, primarily in the Italian Baroque style; the town hall with its clock tower; the Fountain of the Four Dolphins, surrounded by 18th-century palaces. The fountains, however, deserve special mention; there are several hundred of them in the city.

Aix-en-Provence was the birthplace of the renowned French artist Paul Cézanne, who spent his life celebrating this extraordinary city with its inimitable landscapes in his work. Hugo, Stendhal, and Zola loved to relax and work here.

Aix-en-Provence is considered the center of Provence's antiques scene. Buyers from all over the world rummage through the local flea markets and antique shops, searching for hidden gems.

The Mediterranean climate features moderately warm winters (average January temperatures of 8-10°C) and dry, warm, and sunny summers (average July and August temperatures of 24°C).

The nearest international airport is in Marseille. You can also get there from Toulon, Nîmes, and Nice. Paris – Aix-en-Provence: 2 hours 50 minutes by TGV.
