Holidays in Sibenik Riviera

The city of Šibenik is located in the central part of the Adriatic coast, where the Krka River flows into the Adriatic Sea. The city is over 1,000 years old. It is known in the world for its Cathedral of St. Jacob, which occupies a special place in European architecture. This is the only known example of a building in terms of the consistent use of exclusively stone material and the original assembly method of large stone slabs. Since 2000, the Cathedral of St. Jacob has been under the protection of UNESCO.
Šibenik is a harmonious combination of the old part of the city with narrow, steep streets and the new part with modern architecture. From the heights of the fortress of St. Anne, a beautiful panorama of the city and its surroundings opens up. The city has preserved many landmarks - the Church of St. Barbara and other temples, several palaces, the city hall building and the Franciscan monastery. The influence of Venice is felt in the beautiful cathedrals, straight streets and ancient temples. Solaris is a beautiful resort near the town of Sibenik, where you can spend a pleasant holiday all year round in any of the hotels. Numerous sports grounds have been built for sports activities: from beach volleyball to tennis courts. There are several diving schools, as well as horse riding schools and yacht schools in the area of Sibenik. The surroundings of Sibenik are known for their colorful landscapes and untouched nature. Krka National Park and Kornati National Park are two tourist attractions in the town of Sibenik. Sibenik has well-equipped marinas from where you can go to the Kornati National Park.
