An interesting fact is that in Dalaman there is a railway built by mistake. In 1905, the ruler of Egypt gave the order to build a luxurious hunting lodge in Dalaman and a railway to Alexandria, but the workers mixed up the materials. When the mistake was discovered, all the work had already been done, and the government decided to leave everything as is. Today, the area is a state reserve and is surrounded by neat lawns and majestic palm trees.
