Holidays in Island Brac

The island of Brač is the highest island of the Adriatic archipelago (Vidova Gora 1779m) and one of the most beautiful. Immersed in exotic vegetation of olive and orange groves, surrounded by magnificent beaches, it is always attractive to tourists. In the southern part of the island near the town of Bol there is a uniquely beautiful beach "Zlatni Rat". Under the influence of the wind, it often changes its shape, but always remains unusually beautiful. Opposite Split, a city of extraordinary harmony and cultural and historical value, is the island of Brač with its airfield and seaport. It is the largest island of the archipelago and the third largest island in the Adriatic Sea. The island has many pine forests, vineyards and olive groves. White stone from Brač was used in the construction of many famous buildings around the world. Let us mention only the Diocletian Palace in Split and the "White House" in Washington. The Glagolitic stones of the Blaca Desert are the most attractive architectural monument of the island. Above Murvica is the Drahonina Cave with stone-carved bas-reliefs of the highest artistic value.
On the unusually branched coastline of Brac, you can enjoy numerous bays, sandy and pebble beaches that stretch for tens of kilometers. But the culmination of everything will be Bol, the largest tourist destination in the south of the island. You will be delighted by the Bol beaches, one of which is "Zlatni rat" ("Golden Cape"). This pebble cape is able to move from one side to the other. Wind and waves determine its position, which is never the same. And when your vacation is replaced by everyday life, you will remember the olive groves of Brac, its fishermen, walks, half-open windows from which old ladies watch you. Dried figs and homemade rakija will bring the guest and the host closer together, erasing the boundaries between their worlds.
There are many places on Brač where you can have a wonderful rest. These are Postire, Milna, Supetar. And each with its own sandy beaches, hotels, campsites. And with its own stone streets-steps, on which the song of local young people can be heard long after midnight. And on which true friendships are formed, new love begins and old love is strengthened.
