Luxury Holidays in Fujian: Coastal Cities, Tulou and Tea Mountains

Fujian is a diverse province in south-eastern China, where coastal cities give way to tea plantations, mountain scenery and historic settlements. A well-planned journey combines Xiamen’s architecture, the maritime heritage of Quanzhou, the remarkable Fujian tulou and the landscapes of Mount Wuyi. Xiamen and Gulangyu Island

Quanzhou was one of the world’s leading maritime trading centres during the Song and Yuan periods. Kaiyuan Temple, Qingjing Mosque, Luoyang Bridge and the city’s other monuments reflect centuries of cultural and commercial exchange.

Mount Wuyi and Tea Culture

Mount Wuyi is known for dramatic sandstone peaks, the Nine-Bend River and terraced tea gardens. The surrounding area produces celebrated rock oolong teas, including Da Hong Pao. Experiences can include scenic walks, bamboo rafting and guided tastings at a local tea estate.
