Tailor-made holidays in Shaviyani Atoll

Shaviyani Atoll lies in the northern Maldives. Its large lagoons, extensive reefs and distance from Malé create a relaxed setting for spacious villas, diving, snorkelling and individually planned ocean experiences.

Villas at Sirru Fen Fushi

The resort has 120 villas located on the beach, over the water and within tropical greenery. Every category includes a pool, terrace and outdoor living area. Accommodation ranges from one to three bedrooms, while a collection of residences can be combined to form a seven-bedroom retreat.

Safari Tented Villas provide a distinctive alternative to traditional Maldivian accommodation. Set beside the beach or among the island’s greenery, these large tented pavilions combine the atmosphere of a tropical camp with the facilities of a five-star resort. Each villa is supported by a dedicated host available around the clock.

The island also features a 200-metre swimming pool, Arufen Spa, restaurants serving international, Japanese and Mediterranean cuisine, and beachfront bars. Villa selection should take account of water access, sunrise or sunset orientation and the number of guests travelling.

House reef and the Coralarium

The Sirru Fen Fushi house reef extends for approximately nine kilometres. Snorkellers may encounter sea turtles, reef fish, rays and seasonal manta rays. The dive centre provides access to more than twenty sites around the lagoon, with options for both beginners and certified divers.

The lagoon is also home to the Coralarium, a semi-submerged art installation created by British sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor. Designed to support coral growth, it can be explored as part of a guided snorkelling experience.

The itinerary can also include a visit to the neighbouring inhabited island of Maroshi, dolphin watching, ocean excursions or a cruise aboard the resort’s Azimut yacht, which accommodates up to six guests.

When to visit and how to get there

November to April generally brings sunnier and drier weather. From May to October, tropical showers, stronger winds and changes in underwater visibility are possible. Manta sightings depend on the season and ocean conditions.
