Lake Como is located in a hollow between the limestone hills of the Bernina region. It stretches for 51 kilometers north of Milan, near the border with Switzerland. The Alps serve as a kind of barrier from the northern winds, so the temperature on the lake does not fall below 24 degrees Celsius. The depth of the lake reaches 410 meters. Having chosen a vacation on Lake Como, you can do any water sports, as well as rock climbing and horse riding. On the southern part of the lake are two amazingly beautiful cities of Como and Leccio. Lake Como is famous for its medieval-style villages, castles and towers. There is an ancient fort built in 1169, a sculpture museum, a Renaissance cathedral. Its medieval fairy-tale style is created thanks to the abundance of towers and castles. If you want to see the beauty of nature and architecture, Yana Luxery Travel will help you organize your vacation in Italy on Lake Como.

Tours to Lake Como. Sights of Lake Como

Tours to Lake Como will take you to a paradise dotted with luxurious villas, which are great to admire while strolling along the streets of the resort or sailing on a boat, cutting through the waters of one of the best lakes in Europe. The pearl of the lake is Villa Carlotta - a charming estate with a luxurious park and a sculpture museum.

In the old days, the lake was called Lario and to this day it is considered the deepest lake in Europe. The highest point in Como, from which you can observe the magnificent panorama of the city, the lake and the snow-capped Alpine peaks, is the Volta Lighthouse. You can get to it by taking the funicular to the village of Brunate, and then climbing 200 meters. The lighthouse itself is visible for 50 km around.

The Holy Mountain of Osuccio is a famous Christian center, which is located on the western shore of the lake near the island of Comancina. Between 1635 and 1710, 15 chapels were built here, representing a masterpiece of Baroque architecture. That is why they are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Villa Melzi d'Eril, or Napoleon's residence, is located in a park with a separate greenhouse, a Japanese garden and numerous statues.
