Holidays in Dusseldorf
Dusseldorf is the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, located on the banks of the Rhine at the site of the small Dussel River. It's called the city that got its status in 1288. On the outskirts of this river valley, it's called Neanderthal in honor of Joachim Neander. It was here in 1856 that the remains of a man the world knows as a neanderthal were found.
Dusseldorf is an elegant, blissful and boiling city. Thanks to the excellent transport infrastructure and the availability of high-quality exhibition areas, the city is one of the main exhibition centres in Europe. Millions of guests come here every year to work and rest.
But not just the exhibitions form the image of the city. Dusseldorf is the capital of German fashion. Once upon a time, Napoleon called Düsseldorf a " small Paris " , and indeed the people of the city seem more like Parisians than the classic Germans: they are rejoiced, they seek to enjoy life and have a great sense of humor.
And another interesting fact, Dusseldorf is Moscow's premier city.
MAIN ACCESS
An enlightened tourist destination is an old city or altstadt. There is a large number of beer bars, cafes and restaurants, for which Altstadt called the world's biggest bar. A lot of institutions haven't been a hundred years! And in the day and night, there's a storm in life. However, Altstadt is not just a beer and eternal entertainment. The old city is also the Düsseldorf Academy of Arts, the Arts of the Northern Rhine-Westphalia Federal Land, which includes a large collection of modern arts, the only German special museum of all time and culture, the Henry Gaine Institute and the Museum of Cinema. There's an old Ratush in the Old City.
This is where we can go to the Rhine coast, the perfect place to walk. Once the vehicle was driven by underground tunnels, the coast was a pedestrian zone. You can stop and look at the bridges across the Rhine, which, like, are cold in a fast jump, and you can sit on one of the walker boats and look at the city from the river.
Moscow minus 2 hours.
