Day 1 18 october 2025 Departure 19:00 ![]() | Monte Carlo, Monaco Perhaps no port of call is better designed to welcome a luxury yacht than Monte Carlo, where some of the most splendid vessels in the world make their home. At this playground for the rich and famous, the only thing more spectacular than the yachts filling the harbor are the luxury cars driving the winding streets that host the annual Grand Prix. Verdant mountains ascend abruptly behind the lavish high-rises lining the bay, and perched on the cliff is the Palace of the Prince, where the Changing of the Guard attracts onlookers each morning at 11:55. The nearby Cathedral of Monaco holds the tomb of beloved Princess Grace and other royalty. Prince Albert I founded the city’s remarkable oceanographic museum, once curated by Jacques Cousteau, and Prince Charles III established the elaborate Monte Carlo Casino, where high rollers try their luck and James Bond famously sips his martinis. |
Day 2 19 october 2025 Arrival 08:00 Departure 23:00 ![]() | Saint-Tropez, France A jetsetter haven, Saint-Tropez is best known for its designer shopping, drink-and-dance-‘til-dawn nightlife, and ritzy beach clubs like Le Club 55 and Nikki Beach. After all, this is where French screen goddess Brigitte Bardot popularized the bikini in the 1950s, and to this day Bardot makes her home here. But another side of this once humble fishing village can be found in the hills far above the beachfront. Walk the narrow cobblestone streets and visit the 17th-century citadel for stunning views of the port. |
Day 3 20 october 2025 Arrival 08:30 Departure 18:00 ![]() | Toulon, France A cable car ride to the top of Mont Faron provides the perfect orientation to Toulon with 360-degree views of the city and its environs. Then descend to the scenic waterfront for a stroll along La Rade, where palm-fringed sidewalks are lined with brasseries and bistros serving classics like mussels and fries or ratatouille, each dish paired perfectly with a local Provence rosé. The harbor is one of the best natural anchorages in the Mediterranean and has been a principal base of the French Navy for centuries, a history told in the impressive Musée National de la Marine located on the docks. After exploring the harbor, venture off into the narrow streets and quaint squares of the Old Town to see historic Toulon Cathedral. Further inland you’ll find the medieval villages and renowned vineyards of Provence, while the legendary beaches and boutiques of the French Riviera await east of Toulon in towns like Saint-Tropez. |
Day 4 21 october 2025 Arrival 08:00 Departure 19:00 ![]() | Sète, France Only small ships and yachts can access the harbor of Sète, which is one reason this enchanting French port has retained its many charms. The birthplace of numerous artists, including poet Paul Valéry and singer-songwriter Georges Brassens, Sète has a rich artistic heritage and its museums pay tribute. Colorfully painted façades line the town’s canals, which include the northeastern entrance to the Canal du Midi, a UNESCO World Heritage site linking the Mediterranean and Atlantic through southern France. Several other UNESCO sites nearby compete for attention. To the east are the Roman monuments of Arles, a town that famously inspired Van Gogh, and to the west lie the massive, painstakingly restored fortifications, towers and castle of Carcassonne. Renowned for both its historic quarter and the modern Antigone district designed by architect Ricardo Bofill, the city of Montpellier also merits a drive up the coast. |
Day 5 22 october 2025 Arrival 08:00 Departure 16:00 ![]() | Collioure, France Over the centuries Romans, medieval Catalan kings and the French Royal Navy have all sailed into the deep, natural harbor of Port-Vendres in Roussillon – the French part of Catalonia. Just up the coast from this working fishing port, you’ll find the colorful seaside village of Collioure, which has inspired artists like Henri Matisse and Picasso and is one of the most picturesque resorts on the Côte Vermeille. To the east you’ll stumble across some spectacular coastal views on the trails of the untamed Cap Béar headland; while to the south you’ll see vineyards planted on the vertiginously steep terraces of Banyuls-sur-Mer. Back in Collioure, take a seat in one of the historical center’s many wine bars and sample some of the rich-red wines that are produced in this fabulous region. |
Day 6 23 october 2025 Arrival 09:00 Departure 17:00 ![]() | Mahón, Menorca, Balearic Islands, Spain The approach to Menorca reveals white houses clinging to rocks with a historic town rising above one of the world's largest natural harbors, used as a port since the 3rd century BC. King Island floats halfway in, featuring ruins of a 6th-century basilica. The streets of Menorca present an interesting blend of ancient treasures, such as the medieval wall of San Roque Arch and the relics in the Museu de Menorca, and more recent gems, including the grand Georgian homes that remain from the British occupation of the island. The city's rich history is also reflected in its varied cuisine. A local cheese is named for Menorca, and the island is said to be the birthplace of mayonnaise. Hiking or biking a section of the Cami de Cavalls, the ancient path encircling the island, reveals Menorca’s remarkable scenery, and the open-air museum of megalithic monuments begs to be explored. |
Day 7 24 october 2025 Arrival 08:00 Departure 18:00 ![]() | Tarragona, Spain Blessed with sunshine, sand and an astonishing selection of historical sites, Tarragona is a rare combination of natural beauty and rich culture. Vestiges of classical Roman structures dot the length and breadth of the city, a UNESCO World Heritage site known in ancient times as Tarraco. The Paseo Arqueológico takes you on a stroll along the Roman walls that encircle the Old Town. Perched on a hillside overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, the open-air amphitheater is the most impressive of the Roman remains, although fascinating remnants of the circus, basilica, aqueduct and other landmarks stand throughout the city. To experience Tarragona like a local, head to the fishing district of El Serallo. Pastel-hued homes line a broad waterfront promenade along with tapas bars and restaurants serving the region’s prized seafood. A whole new world of exploration awaits just an hour up the coast in Barcelona, where the streets are filled with Gaudí’s distinctive modern architecture, thriving markets and designer boutiques. |
Day 8 25 october 2025 Arrival 07:00 ![]() | Barcelona, Spain Barcelona is a true global city of breathtaking architecture, countless world-class museums, bustling markets, colorful parks and high-end fashion. This town is big but perfectly discoverable on foot. Imposing Montjuïc Castle is a good starting point for a stunning panorama of the city, and the renowned Joan Miró museum and Catalonian national art museum are also in the area. One might fill an entire day strolling amidst the 12th- and 13th-century architecture of the Gothic Quarter and then checking out the extensive collection of the Museu Picasso. But Barcelona may be most renowned for the unmistakable imprint made on the city by architect Antoní Gaudi, from the spectacular unfinished church of La Sagrada Família to the whimsical Park Güell. More of his work can be found along tree-lined La Rambla, one of the world’s most famous promenades and the perfect place to experience the striking architecture, designer shopping and delicious tapas of the city. |
